Sunrooms & Enclosures
What's the difference between a sunroom and a four-season room?+
A sunroom (three-season room) is designed for comfortable use in spring, summer, and fall, with standard glass and framing. A four-season room uses insulated framing, low-E thermal glass, and optional climate control for year-round comfort. We help you choose based on your budget and how you plan to use the space.
Do sunrooms require permits?+
Yes, in most Southern California cities, sunrooms and enclosed additions require permits. Vision handles all permitting, engineering, and inspections as part of our service — you don't have to deal with the city at all.
How long does a sunroom take to build?+
A typical sunroom project takes 4-8 weeks from permit approval to final inspection, depending on size and complexity. The permitting process can add 2-6 weeks depending on your city. We provide a detailed timeline during your consultation.
Can you match my sunroom to my home's architecture?+
Absolutely. Every sunroom we build is custom-designed to complement your home's existing architecture, roofline, and exterior finishes. We offer a range of framing colors, glass options, and interior finishes.
Patio Covers & Pergolas
What's the difference between a patio cover and a pergola?+
A patio cover is a solid roof structure that provides complete shade and rain protection. A pergola has open slats or beams that provide filtered shade. A louvered pergola combines both — adjustable louvers that can open for sun or close for full shade and rain protection.
Can I add lighting and fans to my patio cover?+
Yes! We plan for integrated lighting, ceiling fans, and even heaters from the start of your project. It's much more cost-effective to include electrical during construction rather than adding it later.
Do louvered pergolas require electricity?+
Yes, motorized louvered pergolas require a standard electrical connection to power the motor, controls, and any integrated lighting. Our team handles all electrical work as part of the installation.
How long do patio covers last?+
Our aluminum patio covers and pergolas are engineered to last 25+ years with minimal maintenance. Cedar pergolas typically last 15-20 years with proper staining. Louvered systems come with manufacturer warranties of 10-15 years on the motor and frame.
Artificial Turf & Concrete
How long does artificial turf last?+
Premium artificial turf installed by Vision typically lasts 15-20 years with proper care. We use high-quality, USA-made turf with UV stabilization that prevents fading in the Southern California sun.
Does artificial turf get hot in the summer?+
Artificial turf can get warmer than natural grass on hot days, but modern turf technology has significantly reduced heat retention. We can recommend turf products with cooling infill for areas that receive direct afternoon sun.
Can I install artificial turf over my existing concrete?+
Yes, artificial turf can be installed over concrete with proper padding and drainage preparation. This is a great option for converting concrete patios into more comfortable outdoor spaces.
Will stamped concrete crack?+
All concrete has the potential to crack, but we minimize this with proper base preparation, reinforcement (rebar or fiber mesh), and control joints. Our installation techniques are designed to reduce cracking, and we seal every project for added durability.
